About the Firm:

Our firm traces its roots to 1975 and specializes in civil defense litigation, with a strong focus on the representation of business and insured clients in the State of Nevada. Since its founding, the firm's mission has always remained the same: Honesty. Integrity. Value.

We focus on providing early evaluations, and once identifying those critical aspects that are unique to each case, we apply our skill and experience to obtain information used to continuously fine-tune the evaluation with a common goal in mind. With this approach, we set reasonable expectations, limit surprises and reach the best outcome for our clients.

We understand that each client has devoted considerable time and resources in developing their own unique guidelines and processes, as well as case handling platforms and billing portals. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and focus to meet those client needs.

The firm has extensive jury trial experience, in both Federal and State Courts, as well as a wealth of experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution, such as single and Multi-Arbitrator Arbitrations, Mediations and Settlement Conferences. As each case is unique, the venue for resolution is evaluated and determined after review and consultation with the client to determine their best interests and experience.

Alan W. Westbrook

Alan W. Westbrook is the principle and managing shareholder of the firm. He was admitted to the Nevada Bar in 1996, joining the firm as an associate that same year after completing an internship with the firm as part of his last year of law school. He has been admitted to practice in State, Federal and Appellate Courts in the State of Nevada and the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Westbrook graduated from Pepperdine University in 1989, with a B.A. in English Literature and following an initial career in retail and bank management, graduated from California Western School of Law with his J.D in 1996.

Mr. Westbrook has tried to verdict numerous jury trials in State and Federal Courts throughout Nevada. In addition to jury trials, he has tried bench trials, and defended clients at private, and Nevada Court Annexed, arbitrations. He defends professional clients at Administrative Hearings and regularly represents clients in mediations and Settlement Conferences. He has argued cases before the Nevada Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Westbrook has successfully defended Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and individuals, in cases involving all types of injuries, including multi-million-dollar catastrophic injury claims of spinal injury, brain injury, and death.

As an active Attorney in the State of Nevada for more than 50 years, Mr. Perry has seen it all. That experience and integrity has served as the backbone of the prior firm iterations and the current firm, Perry & Westbrook, and is a tradition all current team members are proud to carry on. Mr. Perry is no longer accepting new clients; however, he continues to be a legal resource, and will always be a source of inspiration.
